The Authority Service basically consists of cost analysis and verification on the estimated work from a technical point of view, in order to evaluate its suitability and relevance to the reported damage.
Service features and means of delivery
The Technical Authority Service is targeted at those who intend to apply a rigorous monitoring system to survey activities and repairs linked to claims, with a view to cost control and limitation.
This service can be supplied on two levels; the first analysis is performed through the following activities:
- Assessment of photos and estimates
- Analysis of possible damage causes
- Assessment of relevance between damage and reported events
- Financial feasibility check on repairs
- Check on costs (for example, for materials and parts) with a view to avoid speculation, by means of documented actions
- Fraud prevention
The second level analysis implies implementation of further activities shown as follows, compared with the previous level:
- In depth analysis of Damage verification and assessment of estimates/invoices with technical confirmation (i.e. Analysis of spare parts)
- Further check on damage definition and evaluation with technical confirmation
- Administrative and Monitoring activities on dealer network premises, to assist negotiations between parties
